GRAND PRAIRIE, TX (01/25/2015) — One man is dead, and two others have been hospitalized following a serious car accident in Grand Prairie on Sunday afternoon.
According to police, 33-year-old Miguel Daniel Que was driving his 1995 Honda Accord eastbound on Grenoble Drive, when he was involved in an accident at the intersection of Grenoble and Corn Valley Road. Que was attempting to turn left onto northbound Corn Valley Road when his car was struck by a 2008 Chevrolet Impala headed south on Corn Valley Road at about 4:40 p.m.
Miguel Daniel Que, of Carrollton, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
The driver of the Impala, 19-year-old Blanca Garza (of Grand Prairie) and her passenger, 17-year-old Anthony Rodriguez (also of Grand Prairie) were transported by ground ambulance to Medical Center of Arlington with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
Police say that they believe speed may be a factor in the accident, but noted that an investigation was still in progress.
This incident marks the first fatal traffic accident of 2015 for the city of Grand Prairie, Texas.
