CALDWELL, TX (09/07/2016) — A multi-vehicle collision on Wednesday afternoon claimed the life of Mohammed Khaja.
Police have identified 22-year-old as Mohammed Khaja as the victim of a fatal accident that occurred at the intersection of Highway 21 and Highway 36 in Caldwell, Texas.
Authorities reported that at around 2:00 p.m., the driver of truck was traveling southbound on Highway 36 when he hit three passenger cars in two different accidents.
Mohammed Khaja was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.
“It was very frightening; it was surreal,” Tommy Pusateri said. “It’s like you didn’t–I can’t believe what I’m seeing. This didn’t happen. It’s so sad.”
The driver of the truck was taken to a hospital for treatment. There was no word of additional injuries.
This accident is currently under investigation.
Commentary
Police have not yet released much information on this accident, however, the driver could face a potential manslaughter charge due to the fact that the accident caused Khaja’s death. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
