SAN ANTONIO, TX (06/20/2015) — Lauren Marie Molina, 21, and Nicholas Ramirez, 22, both died, and Keenan Peterson, 22, was seriously injured in a rear-end collision caused by a drunk driver.
According to officials, Lauren Marie Molina, 21, and Nicholas Ramirez, 22, both died early Saturday morning in a rear-end collision on Loop 410 near Texas 151 in San Antonio, Texas.
San Antonio Police stated that Molina and Ramirez were passengers in the backseat of a Mitsubishi Galant that was stopped at a traffic light on the access road of Loop 410. The Mitsubishi was rear-ended by a Chevrolet Captiva driven by an intoxicated driver.
26-year-old Sylvia Herrera, the driver of the Captiva, was arrested at the scene. She has been charged with two counts of intoxication manslaughter and one count of intoxication assault.
Molina and Ramirez both died at the scene of the car accident. The driver of the Galant, as well as the front-seat passenger (22-year-old Keenan Peterson), were transported to University Hospital with serious injuries.
