SAN ANTONIO, TX (08/15/2015) – 30-year-old motorcyclist Christopher Ortiz was seriously injured after a drunk driver caused an accident Saturday night.
According to San Antonio authorities, 30-year-old Christopher Ortiz was critically injured on Saturday night (shortly before midnight) after his motorcycle was rear-ended by a drunk driver in San Antonio, Texas at the intersection of Presa Street and Southcross.
A Chevrolet Camaro allegedly struck Ortiz’s bike as he waited at a red light. Ortiz was reportedly ejected from his motorcycle due to the impact of the collision.
Authorities state that Ortiz was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, however, he was transported to San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC) in critical condition.
The driver of the car, who has not yet been identified, was arrested and charged with intoxication assault.
