LUBBOCK, TX (07/29/2015) — A motorcycle accident injured 38-year-old Robert Mehl, and his passenger, 30-year-old Megan Sherwood on Wednesday night.
According to the Lubbock Police Department, Robert Mehl, 38, and Megan Sherwood, 30, were injured after their motorcycle collided with a Jeep on Wednesday night in Lubbock, Texas.
Authorities state that at around 9:00 p.m. Wednesday evening, the driver of a Jeep was traveling southbound in the 5300 block of Chicago Avenue. Mehl was riding his 2005 Yamaha motorcycle behind the Jeep in the same direction. As the Jeep slowed to make a left turn into the Windsor Creek Apartments, Mehl allegedly passed a vehicle on the left and struck the Jeep.
Mehl was transported to University Medical Center (UMC) with serious injuries. Sherwood, his passenger, was also taken to UMC with moderate injuries. She remains in serious condition.
The Lubbock Police Department is currently investigating this wreck.
