COLLINSVILLE, TX (10/03/2015) — A hit-and-run driver has been arrested after fleeing an accident that injured motorcyclist Jeffrey Allen on Saturday.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), 43-year-old Jeffrey Allen was seriously injured after a motorcycle accident on Saturday. The wreck occurred along Highway 377 in Collinsville, Texas.
DPS Trooper Mark Tackett stated that Allen was traveling southbound on his motorcycle when a northbound truck made a turn, causing Allen to rear-end the vehicle.
Allen was flown to Plano Medical Center, where he remains in serious condition.
According to Collinsville Police, the driver of the truck and passenger fled scene on foot, but the two were arrested shortly afterward.
