ODESSA, TX (08/29/2015) — Two people, Frank Moreno and Gloria Miranda, were injured after their car was struck by a red light runner on Saturday night.
According to Odessa police, 44-year-old Gloria Miranda and 40-year-old Frank Moreno were both injured in a two-vehicle car accident on Saturday night at the intersection of Eighth Street and West County Road in Odessa, Texas.
Authorities state that at around 9:40 p.m., a 2004 Ford F-150, driven by 68-year-old Earnest Jones Jackson, ran a red light along westbound Eighth Street and struck a 2000 Chevrolet Impala, driven by Miranda.
After the initial collision, the Impala struck a nearby light pole.
According to the Odessa Police Department (OPD), Miranda and Moreno were transported to Medical Center Hospital. They have since been treated and released, as of Monday morning.
Jackson was cited with running a red light. Miranda was cited with failure to display driver’s license and failure to maintain financial responsibility.
