FORT WORTH, TX (06/04/2015) — An off-duty police officer was injured after his motorcycle was struck by a drunk driver in the 3400 block of North Freeway in Fort Worth, Texas on Thursday morning.
According to police, an off-duty police officer was injured after being struck by a vehicle just after 2:00 a.m. early Thursday morning in the 3400 block of North Freeway in Fort Worth, Texas.
Reportedly, the officer was driving a motorcycle home from work when a vehicle collided with him, knocking him from his bike.
According to Fort Worth Police Department Cpl. Tracy Knight, the injured officer was transported to a nearby area hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Knight stated that the driver of the vehicle has been charged with driving while intoxicated.
