EL PASO, TX (10/02/2015) — Ema Saenez and a 7-year-old child were the victims of an auto-pedestrian accident on Friday morning.
According to authorities, 55-year-old Ema Saenz and a 7-year-old girl were both injured on Friday morning after they were struck by a vehicle while walking along the 4700 block of N. Mesa Street in El Paso, Texas.
Police reported that Saenz and the 7-year-old girl were crossing a private driveway when 30-year-old Reginald McCoy exited and struck them both with his 2013 Chevrolet pickup truck. The two victims were transported to the hospital.
Saenz suffered life-threatening injuries, however, the girl only sustained minor injuries.
According to police, this accident was caused by McCoy’s failure to yield the right of way to a pedestrian.
This incident remains under investigation.
