FLAT, TX (04/25/2016) — Rachel Baker was killed in a single-vehicle accident after the driver lost control of the truck she was riding in on Monday afternoon.
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) identified 56-year-old Rachel Fern Baker and 46-year-old Robert Edward Sanders as the two victims a fatal single-vehicle car accident that occurred along Highway 36 in Flat, Texas.
DPS Trooper Ronald Slay reported that at around 1:15 p.m., Robert Sanders was traveling westbound in a 1988 Nissan Frontier pickup truck when it left the roadway and collided with a concrete wall.
Sanders and his passenger, Rachel Baker, both lost their lives in the wreckage.
Officials stated that Sanders lost control of the vehicle, but the cause is uncertain at this time.
