HUNTINGTON, TX (07/03/2015) — Three people have been hospitalized following a rear-end collision on Highway 103 Friday afternoon.
According to recent reports, Sandra Texada, 58, and Benny Texada, 80, were injured on Friday afternoon after their vehicle was rear-ended in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 103 and Pinner Road in Huntington, Texas.
Rocky Thigpen, a Lufkin City Council member and a Texas Department of Safety trooper stated that at around 2:00 p.m., an eastbound Ford Expedition driven by Sandra Texada had slowed down on Highway 103 for a motorist turning onto Davidson Road when it was rear-ended by a GMC Sierra.
The male driver of the GMC Sierra—along with the Texada’s—were transported to Lufkin hospitals for treatment.
The male driver of the Sierra has not yet been identified since he was immediately rushed to the hospital. The two other occupants of the Expedition, a 54-year-old and a 10-year-old, were reportedly not injured in the crash.
