MOUNT ENTERPRISE, TX (08/15/2015) – 71-year-old Whelyn Robinson was killed, and one other person was injured, after a rear-end crash on Saturday.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), 71-year-old Whelyn Robinson was killed following a two-vehicle crash on Highway 259 in Mount Enterprise, Texas on Saturday.
DPS officials state that the female driver of a Ford pickup truck (who has not yet been identified) was distracted by a single-vehicle rollover crash that had occurred in the opposite lane, when she rear-ended Robinson’s Jeep.
The impact forced the Jeep into a ditch, which then struck a utility pole.
Robinson was pronounced dead at the scene. A second occupant of the Jeep was transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
