LUFKIN, TX (06/02/2015) — Renee Marie Baker, 29, has been hospitalized for possible injuries after her vehicle was struck by a garbage truck at the intersection of FM 58 and FM 2108 in Lufkin, Texas on Tuesday.
According to reports, 29-year-old Renee Marie Baker may have suffered injuries after her 2014 Mazda was struck by a 2007 Peterbilt sanitation truck driven by 52-year-old Tony Darnell Harris.
The accident occurred on Tuesday afternoon around 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of FM 58 and FM 2108 in Lufkin, Texas.
The crash investigation indicated that Baker was preparing to turn left onto Benton Drive from southbound FM 58 when she was rear-ended by the garbage truck.
Baker was transported to CHI St. Luke’s hospital in Lufkin, Texas for possible injuries; Harris did not sustain any injuries, however, he was cited for failure to control speed.
This crash remains under investigation.
