TEXARKANA, TX (11/01/2015) — A broadsided wreck claimed the life of Robert Andrew Clemenson, and injured Billy Ray Howard, on Sunday night.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), 52-year-old Robert Andrew Clemenson was killed after an 18-wheeler accident on Sunday night in Texarkana, Texas along Highway 59.
The DPS reported that at around 10:13 p.m., Clemenson was driving an 18-wheeler along Highway 59 when a pickup truck—driven by 41-year-old Billy Ray Howard—pulled out in front of the tanker truck from eastbound Park Road (PR-1379).
Clemenson was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
Howard was transported to nearby area hospital in critical condition.
According to the DPS, the area is under construction and the highway has been reduced to two lanes.
