HORSESHOE BAY, TX (07/10/2016) — Roland Greaves died in a wrong way accident on Saturday that also left Perry Greaves critically injured.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), 87-year-old Roland Edwin Greaves was killed, and 56-year-old Perry Greaves suffered critical injuries, following a head-on accident along Highway 71 near Ranch Road 2147 in Llano County, Texas.
DPS reported that shortly after 3:30 p.m., Jason McCombs was traveling eastbound in a 2011 Lincoln SUV when he crossed into the westbound lanes and struck the Greaves’ 2005 Suzuki automobile. After the initial impact, both vehicles caught fire.
Perry sustained critical injuries. Roland did not survive the accident. An investigation is ongoing.
