BURNET, TX (09/03/2016) — A multi-vehicle accident on Saturday morning killed Roselee Rodriguez and West Adair.
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) identified 26-year-old Roselee B. Rodriguez and 6-year-old West Adair as the victims of a fatal accident on Highway 281 in Burnet, Texas.
DPS Trooper Robbie Barrera stated that shortly before 9:30 a.m., a northbound Lexus veered off the road and collided with a pickup truck and another vehicle. The impact pushed the pickup truck into oncoming lanes of traffic where it collided head-on with a Ford Expedition.
Rodriguez and her passenger, Adair, were ejected from the Expedition and died at the scene.
Another child involved in the wreckage was transported to Dell Children’s Medical Center for treatment. The passenger and driver of the Lexus were taken to Seton Medical Center Williamson.
This crash remains under investigation.
Commentary
Authorities have not determined what caused the driver of the Lexus to veer off the road initially, however, an investigation is still underway. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
