LUBBOCK, TX (11/23/2016) — A two-vehicle collision on Wednesday afternoon left one dead and five others injured.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), 23-year-old Sabrina Guadalupe Alcala (of Lorenzo) was injured following a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of FM 41 and Highway 87 in Lubbock, Texas.
DPS Sgt. John Gonzalez stated that at around 1:41 p.m., 61-year-old Grover Wayne Camper (of Lubbock) was traveling eastbound in a Ford pickup truck when he ran a stop sign and struck a Dodge pickup truck, driven by Alcala.
Alcala (along with her four passengers: one other adult and three children) were removed from the vehicle and transported to University Medical Center with unknown injuries.
Camper was taken to the same hospital, where he later died.
This crash is currently being investigated.
