BEDIAS, TX (07/05/2016) — A head-on crash left two people dead and another person injured along Highway 90 on Tuesday night.
According to authorities, 64-year-old Shirley Robertson (of Marshall) and 43-year-old Robert Gonzalez (of Grapevine) were killed, and 36-year-old Shareeta Benson (of Longview) was injured, after a head-on collision on Highway 90 near County Road 238 in Bedias, Texas.
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), reported that shortly before 11:30 p.m., 43-year-old Robert Gonzalez was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of the highway in a 2004 Dodge passenger vehicle. As he was driving the wrong way, Gonzalez struck Benson’s 2007 Kia head-on.
Shareeta Benson was transported to a nearby area hospital for treatment. Her passenger, Shirley Robertson, died at the scene of the accident. Gonzalez also lost his life at the scene.
