FORT WORTH, TX (05/27/2015) — A William James Middle School student was struck and seriously injured on her way to school Wednesday morning in Fort Worth, Texas.
According to authorities, a 14-year-old girl was seriously injured in an auto-pedestrian accident after she was struck by a vehicle on in front of William James Middle School on Wednesday morning in Fort Worth, Texas.
Police stated that the girl was running across the street after being dropped off near William James Middle School. A parent, who had just dropped of their child, struck the teen with her car.
The teenager ended up underneath the vehicle and may have suffered a broken leg. She was transported to John Peter Smith Hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
Fort Worth police reported that the driver will be charged with failure to yield.
