A teenage girl was walking to high school this morning when she was hit by a teacher’s car. The Haltom High School student was hospitalized around 7:30 am with serious injuries. The media has yet to report much on this story. WFAA says the young girl is 18 years old, but no names have been released.
Please be careful during your morning commute if you’re driving near schools. Keep an eye out for students or teachers who may be walking to class. No one means to get involved in these kinds of accidents, but sometimes when we lose focus as drivers the consequences can be incredibly painful.
