SAN ANTONIO, TX (06/20/2015) — A wrong way, head-on crash claimed the life of 21-year-old Plainview High grad, Thomas Botello, and one other man.
According to reports, 21-year-old Thomas Botello and one other man were killed following a head-on collision on Interstate 10 near Ralph Fair Road (FM 3351) in San Antonio, Texas Saturday morning at around 7:00 a.m.
Authorities have stated that a maroon Toyota was traveling eastbound on I-10 when the driver lost control of his vehicle and cross the median into the westbound lanes. The Toyota crashed into two vehicles: a white pickup truck—driven by Botello, and a black pickup truck.
Both the Toyota and the white pickup truck caught fire after the head-on car accident.
The driver of the Toyota, a male thought to be in his 20s, died at the scene. Botello was transported University Hospital where he later died from his injuries.
