GRAPEVINE, TX (04/28/2016) — A wrong way driver caused a fatal collision that claimed the life of Thomas Vogt early Thursday morning.
According to police, 52-year-old Thomas Vogt was killed in a wrong-way car accident that occurred along Highway 114 in Grapevine, Texas.
Officials reported that at around 5:00 a.m., police were attempting to stop a 26-year-old man driving westbound in the eastbound lanes of the highway. However, before they were able to reach him, he crashed into Vogt’s vehicle.
Both men died at the scene. The name of the wrong-way driver has not been released.
Authorities are currently investigating this wreck.
