ARLINGTON, TX (12/11/2015) — A suspected drunk driver exiting a parking lot fatally struck motorcyclist Tony Cedillo on Friday night.
Arlington police have identified 24-year-old Tony Cedillo as the victim of a fatal motorcycle accident that occurred in the 2900 block of East Arkansas Lane in Arlington, Texas.
Police reported at around 11:00 p.m., Cedillo was riding his motorcycle on East Arkansas Lane when 28-year-old Everett Matheney failed to yield the right of way while pulling out of a parking lot and collided with Cedillo.
Cedillo was taken to a nearby area hospital, where he died from his injuries.
According to police, Matheney was arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter.
“People need to stop and pay attention and understand that what they do has consequences to everything they do,” said Tony Cedillo’s mother, Lucy Cedillo.
