LIVINGSTON, TX (05/17/2016) — A two-vehicle accident claimed the life of Tonya Brister on Tuesday morning.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), 50-year-old Tonya Brister (of Onalaska) was killed following a two-vehicle collision that occurred along Highway 59 in Livingston, Texas.
The DPS reported that 20-year-old McKenna Veal was traveling northbound in a 2004 Toyota pickup truck when she veered off the road, over-corrected, and rolled over onto the southbound lanes of the highway, where an oncoming 2010 Nissan Altima—driven by Brister—struck the truck.
Brister lost her life in the accident. Veal reportedly did not sustain any injuries.
This accident remains under investigation.
