DIBOLL, TX (09/06/2015) — Two people, James Meador and John Young, were both injured after a Sunday afternoon car accident.
According to authorities, a two-vehicle car accident along FM 2497 at Felix Weeks Road on Sunday afternoon in Diboll, Texas left two men injured: 61-year-old James Meador and 75-year-old John Harvey Young.
Investigators report that at around 4:45 p.m., Meador was traveling in a 1997 Jeep Cherokee when he attempted to cross FM 2497 from a vacant lot and drove into the path of a 2004 Dodge pickup truck, driven by Young.
Both Young and Meador were transported to a nearby area hospital for treatment; Meador was later transferred to a Houston hospital via air ambulance (CareFlite).
Their current conditions are unknown at this time, and the wreck remains under investigation.
