ALVARADO, TX (05/10/2015) — A three-car collision on I-35W in Johnson County left 10-year-old Vera Cowie dead and two drivers injured on Sunday.
Police state that 10-year-old Vera Cowie of Euless was killed in an accident on Interstate 35W on Sunday due to slick roads in Alvarado, Texas.
Local police report that a Dodge hydroplaned and spun out of control while traveling southbound on I-35W. The Dodge collided with a Hyundai SUV, which crossed the grass median. The Hyundai then crashed into a Lexus—the vehicle in which Cowie was a passenger.
The drivers from the Hyundai and Lexus were hospitalized, although the extent of their injuries is uncertain at this time. Police continue to investigate this crash.
