A two-vehicle crash occurred on U.S.190 on Wednesday morning, approximately 1.7 miles west of Kempner.
State Troopers responded to the scene where they discovered a 2005 Lincoln SUV had been traveling west bound while a 1999 Ford pickup was traveling east bound. For an unknown reason, the Lincoln crossed over the center line onto the wrong side of the highway and collided head-on with the Ford Pickup.
The driver of the Ford pickup, 41-year-old Victor Morrison, Jr., of Lampasas and his passenger 40-year-old Cynthia Morrison, also of Lampasas were both pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Lincoln, 22-year-old Presli Peters, of Lampasas and her 2-year-old passenger were taken to Baylor Scott & White Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
This crash is still currently under investigation.
