If you follow local Dallas news, you probably are already aware that there have been four 18 wheeler truck accidents this week – and it’s only Thursday.
To recap:
- Monday morning, a man was injured when his Honda sedan got stuck under a dump truck on northbound I-35 (just north of Corinth Parkway).
- Monday night, a sports-car driver swerved to avoid a closed exit and wedged his vehicle under an 18 wheeler on I-35E coming out of Lancaster.
- Just after midnight this morning, a lady’s car became disabled in a mild wreck on John Carpenter Freeway. Under the advice of a passing motorist, she left her car to wait for aid on the shoulder – which was good, because a UPS tractor trailer broadsided her vehicle minutes later.
- In Westlake, a police cruiser was rear ended by a white pickup truck. The car, containing both a law enforcement officer and and a passenger, was pushed into the path of an oncoming 18 wheeler.
If that’s not enough, truck drivers have apparently been caught transporting acid and explosives through downtown Dallas.
Not the greatest week for the logistics industry in Big D.
Drive safely, Dallas.
