NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX (12/25/2016) — Motorcyclist William Plunkett was killed following a car-vs-motorcycle accident on Sunday afternoon.
Police identified 21-year-old William Plunkett (of Hurst) as the victim of a fatal motorcycle wreck that occurred in the 7900 block of Mid Cities Boulevard in North Richland Hills, Texas.
Authorities reported that at around 2:30 p.m., the driver of a vintage 1934 Ford two-door was traveling eastbound on Mid Cities Blvd. when an eastbound 2008 Yamaha motorcycle – driven by Plunkett – attempted to pass him using the left lane.
At that moment (and for unknown reasons), the driver of the Ford lost control and collided with the Plunkett, who did not survive the collision.
The driver of the Ford, a 63-year-old male, was taken to a nearby area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
