Wrong-Way Accident Leaves One Dead

21-year-old mother Brandi Jo Blue passed away Sunday morning when she was involved in a wrong-way car accident.

According to investigators, a pickup truck was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of I-35W (near the Texas Motor Speedway). Around 3:30 am, the truck hit a sedan as neared the Highway 114 overpass in Northlake. Nine people were injured, and Brandi, a resident of Azle, died.

Brandi leaves an infant and hundreds of friends behind. A graduate of Richland High School, she enjoyed watching baseball, American Idol, and television crime dramas. She will be terribly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her friends and family as they say goodbye and look to the future.
