FRISCO, TX (09/26/2015) — A Saturday afternoon multi-car accident on FM 423 claimed the life of Thomas Aring.
Police have identified 64-year-old Thomas Aring as the victim of Saturday’s fatal car accident on the far west side of Frisco, Texas. The wreck occurred at the intersection of FM 423 and Main Street, near the Frisco/ Little Elm border.
According to authorities, at around 3:34 p.m., a 2008 Ford Escape was traveling northbound on FM 423 when it veered into the southbound lanes and struck a 2004 Volkswagen Jetta, driven by Aring.
After the initial impact, a third vehicle—a 2014 Ford Edge—struck the Jetta.
Police report that Aring was pronounced dead at scene. The drivers of the Ford Escape and the Ford Edge were transported to a nearby area hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The cause of the collision is unknown; however, an investigation is ongoing.
