MCCAMEY, TX (08/26/2015) — One man was critically injured, and another was killed in a head-on crash early Wednesday morning.
According to authorities, 48-year-old Tomas Zuniga Lujan was critically injured, and 52-year-old Harley Eugene Tarpley was killed, following a wrong way crash along Highway 385 near mile marker 408, which occurred early Wednesday morning in McCamey, Texas.
Investigators report that at around 4:30 a.m., Tarpley was traveling southbound in a maroon 2003 Chevrolet Malibu when he crossed into the northbound lane and struck a white 2013 Chevrolet 3500 pickup truck, driven by Tomas Lujan.
The impact claimed the life of Tarpley. Lujan was transported to McCamey County Hospital with serious injuries and was listed in critical condition.
