SHELBYVILLE, TX (08/11/2015) – An 18-wheeler accident claimed the life of Kenneth Davis and left Mark Vaughn injured Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, an 18-wheeler crash on Highway 87 killed 67 year-old Kenneth Davis and injured 44-year-old Mark Allen Vaughn on Tuesday afternoon in Shelbyville, Texas.
Davis was reportedly traveling northbound in a Kenworth semi-truck when he crossed into southbound traffic and struck a 2005 Mack dump truck, driven by Mark Vaughn, head-on.
Authorities state that Davis was air lifted to LSU Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana, where he later died.
Vaughn was transported to Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview, Texas; however, his current condition is unknown.
This fatal crash remains under investigation.
