Tinniyah Miles and family friend Alberta Sago were just leaving the hair salon when the car accident occurred. The Mazda driver was speeding the wrong direction along Grauwlyer Road. His car jumped the curb and hit the two ladies. Witness report that young Tinniyah was thrown 20 feet, and Alberta was dragged by the vehicle over 50 feet. The Mazda sped off without stopping.
As CBS reports, the precious little girl stepped off the curb and was run over by a sedan or small car (it all happened so fast an exact description of the vehicle is unavailable). After dragging Alyssia for 50 feet, the driver fled the scene – upgrading a tragic accident to an unacceptable hit and run.
As a driver, one of the worst kinds of wrecks that you can be involved in is one that involves a pedestrian. 24-year-old Dustin Troupe was attempting to sprint across I-20 when he was struck by a driver entering the freeway at Matlock. The driver, who immediately called the police, reported she was unable to avoid hitting him when he appeared in her headlights. After being struck by the first vehicle, Troupe was hit by a second and died at the scene.
According to a report on WFAA.com, a man who suffered from cognitive impairment was killed in a pedestrian/auto accident on August 6. The man was crossing the street, according to reports, and walked right into the path of oncoming traffic. This shows that, even when you think that you’ve got a clear road in front of you, the situation can change in an instant and things can go very wrong.
